pimping out git log – Bart’s Blog
I had an opportunity to speak at the PDX RIA group last week about Git. And while it wasnt my best presentation to date ( cold medicine makes me slow) I think I interested some people in the tool. Today I was scanning the old RSS feed and came across a gem. As I mentioned in my presentation, I am a command line fiend. People ask me about the gui’s that are available for git and most of the time I have no suggestions. But the same is true for svn, I have no idea what gui’s are out there for svn, I only use the command line and the plugins inside eclipse.
Anyhow, this morning I found this post pimping out git log – Bart’s Blog which has a great example of why I use the command line. Its so simple to make things very useful and to chain pieces together.
Anyhow based on the amount of buzz I am getting hit with around git I thought I better start sharing the good stuff I come across :)
Peace Out!

Versions for mac is a fantastic GUI for SVN. One of the best apps I’ve used in awhile.
Yeah, but who uses svn anymore? All the cool kids use git. If you have to use svn, at least clone it from git and use that :)

Should I be able to get that to work with Versions?
