My Fears About Google Confirmed
Its silly really, I mean what does it matter what videos you look at online. Its not like anyone is keeping track right? I mean wether its some funny video, or your neighbors kids, or something errotic, or even something someone might think was un-patriotic. You can watch whatever you want because you are in the privacy of your own home and no one will ever know.
Except someone does know. They know what videos you watch, and they know the sites you visit, and the types of advertising you find appealing. They even know what news you think is important.
And all it takes is One Subpoena Is All It Takes to Reveal Your Online Life. Think about that next time you do something on the computer you wouldnt want your mother to see. Because chances are someone is watching you do it.

That could happen with any company online, not just google. How come you weren’t concerned about all those porn sites you signed up for?
What about all those yahoo sites you visited? Did any searches in MSN?
Todd you are absolutely right. Any company could cause the same kinds of concerns. The problem I have is that googles reach has become too great for my liking. With adsense and google analytics on just about everybodies site they have the ability to follow me wether I like it or not.
Its not that any one of there services is bad, they have great products. Its how those things tie together in the back were we can’t see that bothers me. And without intending too, I found that I used a LOT of googles services.
So my choice it to lessen those chances for them to have my info without my knowing or wishing it. And I promise that I have taken a real hard look at all the services I use. Its just google that I used to many off.
And to make sure that I am being fair, I have not signed up for flickr pro because I am worried about Microsoft buying yahoo.
And luckily I dont have membership to any porn sites
Why would you do that when there is so much porn for free (http://potd.barneyb.com )
