I can’t post date my entries in wordpress
Maybe someone out there can help me with this. Sometimes I feel like blogging, and sometimes I don’t. Sometimes when I feel like blogging I don’t want to publish a bunch of articles in a row (like today) so I like to post date my entries so they will pop up in a couple days keeping the information on my blog fresh. The dashboard in wordpress says I have 3 scheduled posts. All of them are a couple months old that never went out when the time passed by.
Has anyone else seen this are put together a fix? TIA

You most likely need to make a call to wp-cron.php somewhere because the cron job that Wordpress uses isn’t working. You can do that by directly visiting the page or making your footer call it.
I do this all the time - are you on the latest WordPress (2.5+)??
Jim
Simeon,
I’ve done this before many times without issue on WP. Did you change the status to “published” when you post-dated the entries?
Sean
Hey Jim,
I am on 2.5.1 with not problems that I can see.
Sean,
They are in published status, and listed as scheduled. But the dates have long since past and they did not post.
