I am fairly new to Flex I downloaded Flex 3 beta and esayMVC and I am trying to build you testPopup example http://svn.simb.net/easyMVC/examples/testPopup/ and I am not having very good luck. Do I need to anything other then drop easyMVC into my com directory?

I was wondering if there are any examples that illustrate the use of the RemoteMediator.as and ServiceFactory.as classes?
I have a simple example that I built out a while ago that uses them.

Its built using ColdFusion as the remoting backend. Let me know if you need futher guidance. One day soon I plan to have some docs up on these.

I am developing a UI project using flex 3. I am new to flex.
I was going through with EasyMVC and developed simple applciation as you showed in YouTube Video.
Could you please give me an idea in what type of applciations we can use this frame work.
As servlet behaves as controller in J2EE aplication similarly in easyMVC we will be having single controller or we should have multiple controllers depending upon view.
Pleas give me more ideas as I am developing the app and want to use easyMVC framework for my GUI part.

Hey amit,
You can use as many controllers as you like. Just create another controller as you do in the video and then instantiate it in the mxml of your main application.
Then as you add event listeners to the controller it will catch those from anywhere in your application.

Hi Simeon, Any chance you have the recording in a file? If so, anyway I could get it? I cant really see much in the YouTube recording. I’ve been looking at a couple of frameworks and yours appealed to me most. I love how lite it is.

Thanks for checking out easyCG. Its been a while since I did the screen cast and I have no idea where that file might be. On another note, the solution I was trying to solve with easyCG has kind of been taken care of by the advent of new technologies. I would probably have to recommend you look into something like Mate since I am not currently maintaining easyCG. That being said it is open source and should someone want to continue the path of development I am more than happy to support that.

Hmm.. I just went through a quick tutorial for Mate by ASFusion (whom of which I think highly of) but I don’t much care for the tag based approach, especially working with new Mate tags. But I was wonder why not Model Glue Flex? I noticed your name on their site.

I have used model-glue flex in the past and its fine. I also have a problem with the mxml for the event map in Mate. But that being said they have some fantastic tags that make life very easy. I also really like the dependency injection portion of the framework for moving your data around. As far as MG-Flex goes, I don’t think joe has worked on it in a couple years and doesnt plan to. So if you don’t like Mate you are better off looking at Swiz, Cairgnorm, or PureMVC.
