I know I write alot about how much I love it in portland on this blog. And I am sure that you all are getting sick of it (well the ones that don’t live here that is). But I wanted to highlight a couple items that have come up the last couple days.

The first is Google Transit. This is the most recent addtion to the google labs list of beta projects. The goal is to allow you to map your path from one destination to another using mass transit. And where do you think they chose to start their demo? Thats right, Portland OR. Now our Trimet system does a good job of providing information in easily consumable sources, but so does BART and they still picked us.

The other thing I wanted to link to is an article on Apple.com. Portland State University isnt a college you hear on most High School Seniors top 3 schools. In truth its because (I feel) PSU really caters to the non-traditional student in its offerings. But back the point, apple has listed an article about Ooligan Press, a comercial trade press run entirly by students. And of course the reason this crossed my lap they do it on their mac’s.

I have decided that I seem to keep enough posts about cool things in portland that I am creating its own category. And one day soon I will add the old posts to it :)
