Musical Baton Meme
I love being part of the crowd, but I usually draw the line at chain
letters. However, I like finding good music and the best way I
have found is by finding out what others like. So I am
propagating this letter that Rob sent to me! Here is my info:
Total Volume (of my MP3 library): 2.12 GB (I had a big hd crash last year so its just the cd’s I have ripped and Itunes purchases)
Last CD Bought: Jack Johnson - In between dreams

Five Songs I Listen To a Lot:
Blue Eyes - Cary Brothers
New Slang - The shins
You and I Both - Jason Mraz

John Mayer - Quiet
Five People to Whom I’m Passing the Baton:

I feel your pain on the "big hd crash." My MP3 collection is offline for the same reason. When my drive failed (ntfs.sys not found error) I was able to get everything off the harddrive with knoppix before it started making loud grinding noises. It took two days (and was a not full 4 drive). We backed it up to onerof our linux machines but we needed to clear off the space later so we tarred it and I downloaded it to my new harddrive.
Have you ever tried to get the file list form a 3+ G .tar file containing all of the windows system files? It takes about 30 minutes to open the .tar. Needless to say I’ve been restoring very small pieces at a time, and very rarely. :)
That would be a not full 4 G harddrive. Not sure what a not full 4 harddrive is. :D
